From Scout.com:
Adam Caplan, senior NFL writer for Scout.com, reports that Patriots linebacker Justin Rogers who signed a deal last week, received a 3-year contract. Caplan noted that the SMU product's deal includes base salaries of $285,000 (2007), $370,000 (2008) and $460,000 (2009).
Rogers was selected by the Patriots in the sixth round (180th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound former defensive lineman will compete with a number of other former linemen at the outside linebacker spot on the Patriots' roster.

$1.115M over 3 years is nothing to shake a stick at. Hopefully he can get some playing time this year and increase his stock for next for year. Either way, I'd take $285k to do something I loved.

Of course, they can cut him tomorrow and not pay him a dime of that salary. NFL contracts aren't guaranteed.

Wow. A guy gets a little something to hang his hat on and you $#!+ all over it. What the hell? Good luck Justin, that's terrific news.

I dont think the NFL gives signing bonus' out to 6th round draft picks...but it would be great if he got something guaranteed.

He will make that team. I have no doubts about that.

I was just pointing out that there was no guarantee he was going to make the team.

As he should — seems to me you can start hitting him up for a couple decades worth of dinners, right?
