Poll: How conservative will the gameplan for Saturday be?Will Bennett try to control the clock with nothing but Kinkaid up the middle to limit mistakes by Bartle and dropped passes by the WR's or will he open up the offense to test the Baylor defense?
Peruna is my mascot!
Re: Poll: How conservative will the gameplan for Saturday be?Bennett will look at the tapes and figure out how to best beat the Bears. They will have 8 in the box that means only 3 people in coverage mode. I expect some play action bombs to the Comet.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Poll: How conservative will the gameplan for Saturday be?So Morriss will look at the Ponies and decide he doesn't have to worry about the pass?
Re: Poll: How conservative will the gameplan for Saturday be?So do I - Comet and Trey Griffin will have big days.

Re: Poll: How conservative will the gameplan for Saturday be?I don't know. Hopefully not as conservative as last game. I'm starting to feel a little nervous. Hope it just excitement.
GO PONIES! Everyone have a Safe Trip!!
Re: Poll: How conservative will the gameplan for Saturday be?Two ways to look at the week off we've had. On one hand, we've had two weeks to prepare and got to watch Baylor play in Denton. No excuse for the coaching staff to not have this team well prepared. On the down side, it's like we're still coming out of camp while Baylor has two games under their belts.
I expected a very conservative game plan against Tech, because we knew they had better athletes and quick strike ability. The plan, as it was in 2002, was to control clock, which we did. That's about all that worked. As for Baylor, I'm assuming we have more comparable athletes and I would therefore expect a more wide open game...from both teams. With an entire off-season and now two weeks to prepare, I'd be surprised if we see KK carry 29 times. It may be the "pillow fight of the week" to the folks at ESPN, but it's a big game for these two teams. Go Ponies. Let's get this one!
