Survey: best SMU memoribilia?Since we are all PonyFans, I was wondering: what's everyone's favorite or most unique piece of SMU memoribilia, the coolest item that helps you show your SMU pride?
Mine's easy: a biography of Doak Walker, autographed by the great #37 himself. I really shouldn't drink and type.
Re: Survey: best SMU memoribilia? My Texas license plates: "S.M.U." I'll never give those up!!!

Re: Survey: best SMU memoribilia? My license plate says "Ponys" and it is on the special issue "SMU edition" plate offered by the Texas DOT.

Re: Survey: best SMU memoribilia?Toss up....my Doak Walker / Dan Jenkins autographed Doak Bio book, or my SAM HOU ST license plates.
Re: Survey: best SMU memoribilia? My game-worn helmet. The thing is beaten up like it was used as a weapon or something, but it gets the entire mantle to itself.
Needless to say, guests look at it and admire, but it is never touched!
Re: Survey: best SMU memoribilia?I've got three SMU flags (one blue, one red, one white) that I hang in front of my house. I rotate them every day, and on game days, they all fly!

Re: Survey: best SMU memoribilia?Mine, too, is the autographed copy of "More Than A Hero." It will be handed down to my son, Conor WALKER.
Go Ponies!
Re: Survey: best SMU memoribilia? No collection is complete without the full-sized color Life Magazine coverboy Doak Walker. BTW I think that cover is only about the 2nd color cover in the Life series so it was unusual at the time. Also, have a son with middle name of Walker who desperately wants to be an SMU fan but is getting worn down by the losing. His comment after the Texas Tech game was that he "was hearing that darned Texas Tech cannon in his nightmares" two weeks ago. He's tired of losing too.

Re: Survey: best SMU memoribilia?my collection of Mustang koozies. They've assisted me thru some very difficult years of late.
Re: Survey: best SMU memoribilia?A blue and red, felt banner recognizing the 1966 Swimming & Diving Team's 10th Consecutive SWC Championship. We owned Texas.

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.
Re: Survey: best SMU memoribilia?I have a ticket stub to the 1936 Rose Bowl game where we played Stanford.
Re: Survey: best SMU memoribilia?Got an old scrapbook of newspaper clippings I taped to school notebook paper when I was a kid. Covers 65, 66, and start of 67.
May the forth be with us.
Re: Survey: best SMU memoribilia?I have the SMU-issued golf shirts that were worn on the road. I have two of them, which were issued to Adam Walterscheid and .... Marcus Mosley.
Re: Survey: best SMU memoribilia? You have a Mosley shirt? That's impressive.
Makes my SMU putter and golf club covers sound a little too routine, huh?
