In the 'transactions' listed in today's paper, East Carlina's basketball coach was reassigned to assoc. AD, and an interim coach was named. You'd think they would've made a change much, much earlier, unless there are some unique circumstances.
Greenville area hamburger restrauteurs and laundromat owners had no comment.

Thanks for reminding me. What's the status on handing down sanctions for Tubbs' burgers and Cheerr violations. Anybody heard anything from the NCAA on this? It is really looks more and more like SMU lied to its own fans.

In ten years when the documents are unsealed, boy are you going to have egg on your face.

No, they'll have forgotten where the bodies are buried by then.

It's funny that selfish people want this to come out in hopes that they can have an "I told you So!!!!" moment when we learn what really happened, counting on that it was really nothing more than an excuse to fire Tubbs and hire Doherty....
I am still banking on it was something pretty serious and will end the coaching career of Tubbs.....I bet he is not sharing your enthusiam for this to be made public......

Couldn't have been too serious or we'd be on probation already.

Your name is a lie. You are no pony fan. If you were you'd want to know why your athletic director lied to you.

I guess sort of like why true Texas Fans want to know why Mack is recruiting so many thugs, huh?

I'm not sure how that is relevant to the Tubbs discussion, but the answer is obvious and UT fans already know it--UT recruits good athletes first and foremost. And they recently won a national championship doing it. I only wish we recruited good enough athletes to muster up a winning season at a frequency higher than once every twenty years.

Sorry...I didn't mean to post over your head. My point is that the true Texas fan doesn't care what the Texas athletic department does as long as it wins...get my drift? See the corollary?

No I do not . We are not winning, and our AD got up at the podium and said Tubbs was fired for violations, VIOLATIONS mind you, beyond what was reported in the paper. I am a true SMU fan and I deserve to know and want to know the truth about those violations. I cannot relate to what a fan of a winning program would want to know or not care about...nobody who cheers for SMU can.
Now having said all of that, I have resigned myself to the fact that we will never be told the truth, that we already know all we ever will, that we will have to live with SMU's deceit, and that we are moving on with Doherty. And I like the direction he is taking the team. It still doesn't make what SMU did to Tubbs right. The only reason I bring it up occasionally, as with many things, is the entertainment value I get out of seeing how up in arms I can get the fellow posters over trivial items.
