I see that Emmannuel Moody has left USC and is looking to transfer to a school closer to home (Coppell HS). He had been injured and now feels left out as USC has about 10 top TB's on its roster. Of course, he looked closely at Texas before going to USC and I understand that Okie State is hard after him. But I still wonder if we have any chance at all. A pipe dream I am sure.

Relatives say he wants to be closer to home...preferably at a 'Texas-based' school...I predict (as did jtstang in another thread) that Moody will pick T.C.U.

Okie State.

I've never rooted for Oklahoma State as hard as I am on this one.
I'll puke if he ends up at Froggy High.

All things considered, it would be smart for Moody to come to SMU. He could really be a major part in turning this program around.

for what its worth David McNabb's "best guesses" are that Moody ends up at SMU or TCU. This was in TexasPrepXtra a Rivals site

I hope he ends up at SMU, but if not TCU. SMU and TCU's rivalry are the one thing that could help enhance our national profile. IF we could both be top 25 teams maybe just maybe we could crash the BCS and start competing for BCS recruits.

By when must he declare a new school, and then when does his year off begin?
I mean, I would assume that he only wants to sit out this year, so when does he have to pick a school and start cooling his jets?

I was wondering the same thing. I would think we see something in the next couple of days if this year is going to count as his sitting out year.

Latest article has Moody also taking a look at UF so apparently coming home isn't the 100% desire.
Believe that Moody can count this as his sitting out year as long as he is registered in a new school for fall classes. So how long after the 1st day of school does someone like SMU accept transfers?
