SMU on 1560 KGOW in Houston

There is a new all sports radio station in Houston (now there are four all sports radio stations in Houston) named 1560 KGOW The Game. They just went live this week with 610 AM's former morning guy John Granto. They are carrying LSU games in Houston all season long, so the LSU alums in Houston are happy. I called in and spoke to Ken Hoffman and some other dude on the air and gave SMU a plug. They did not see the glass half full like I did. They questioned what shape we would be in after non-confernce play was over. The other radio host said he bet $50 on us last season on a game we played at Ford and he lost. They didn't really have high hopes. Then Ken Hoffman asked a rhetorical question, "Does Eric Dickerson still play for SMU?" Basically, it is safe to say if we have a good season, the sports world (media) will be caught off guard. At least the media down here in Houston will be caught off guard.

There is a new all sports radio station in Houston

And they all ____ suck. Lived their three years. The two stations they had then stunk and that was eight years ago. Spent a lot of time there the last few months, they still stink. And the same miserable hosts then are still on.
