Tyler TV station carrying the Ark. State game

Postby planoponyfan » Fri Aug 24, 2007 1:54 am

I saw a note on the website for KYTX the CBS affiliate in Tyler that they're going to air the Arkansas State game and run the weekly Phil Bennett show. This puzzles me as the Ark. State game is not listed as a TV game on the SMU website and I was unaware that Coach Bennett had a weekly TV show. (I thought he had a webcast)

Also, does that mean the game will be broadcast in the Dallas area too?

The Phil Bennet Show will air on Ch. 21 (edited) this football season. It is a new production.

I thought it was on Ch. 21.

But we have 3 road games being televised by Ch. 21
Arkansas St.
Tulsa
Memphis

I think Mark Followill, Brad Sham and Bill Jones will do the games. Not all together but a combination of the two.

Hope that helps

That's excellent news! I knew someone here had to be showing that game if a station in Tyler was going to show the game.

Glad to hear it's more than one game.

I would too, and I like Followill a lot, and I'll definitely give the TV crew a chance, but I got a feeling I'll be turning the TV on mute and listening to our boys on the Ticket while I watch
