That is probably about right. There was 34,000 last time and there is more excitement among the Ponies this year.

I talked a friend into buying a ticket. She bought it first thing this morning. That's two people non-SMU, non-Tech people I've talked into coming to the game, and they will be cheering for SMU.
edit: Also, the Aggie of the two has said he is stopping by the bookstore to buy a SMU shirt.

what kind of seats did she get. There are reports on RaiderPower that as of late yesterday that it was sold out and they were now selling SRO. Is she sitting on the south endzone Grassy Knoll? Anybody know what kind of tickets remain?

As of Tuesday, there was only one section with reserved seats remaining. I have no idea how the availability of the General Admission/SRO is going.

She said she got a gen adm ticket in the endzone. It's not sideline reserved.

I bought 2 this morning in section 200 - top row. Besides that, all that remained was end zone and the bounce house. Somebody needs to donate a red pony shirt to the ticket seller - you know... SMU tickets/SMU attire/Go Mustangs!

I thought student tickets weren't available until gameday.

You have a good sized stadium for your student population. Add the fact you are competing with the Dallas Cowboys for weekend games, and Ford is a good stadium. SmooBoy wrote:Here's betting even with an announced sellout that the visitor's South top corner will be empty. It sat empty for the sold-out stadium opener vs. Kansas.
Win a few games, fill the stands!
Don't count on it. The visitor sections maybe the first non season ticket sections to sell out. Tech offered those seats to Red Raider Club members two weeks before they went on sale to everyone else. I bought my 2 tickets in that section in July.
We're not Kansas where there are maybe five local alumni and they are pretty much basketball fans. We have a huge DFW alumni base and most don't get many chances to get out to Lubbock for games, so they don't miss one here locally.

They aren't. I'm still angry with this stupid change.
