Here is what Bennett and staff have done to aid in tue recruiting efforts, to go along with the increased attendance at summer camps that have already played enormous dividends in recruiting...

As we get more people here we will recruit more and more quality athletes that perhaps previously did not take even a campus visit.
Bennett already has 'plants' inside the HS coaching ranks, and it is also paying dividends...Bennett has been recruiting Texas for DECADES, and all will see this FEB that his plan is starting to work.
We need another quality class and that should PROVE to you naysayers we are on our way.

I'm interested in how Bennett sells these kids. It's a tough sell at this point. It tells me that these kids really believe in Bennett and that's very encouraging. I'm willing to give Bennett as much time as he needs because we really have no other options right now. I just can't sit here every Saturday and listen to the SMU games forever waiting on a victory.
There's a serious possibility we go 0-4 or 0-5. I guess now everyone will listen to the realists? No, probably not.

If you ever meet Coach Bennett in person, you'll never wonder why he's able to recruit - his optimism, energy, passion for SMU and confidence in what he and his staff are doing are contagious. I met him years ago when he was an assistant at A&M and was so impressed by him I almost became an Aggie fan. I met him again last year, shortly after he took over at SMU, and I wanted to suit up for the man .... even though I'm closer to his age than I am to the age of the players he coaches. This man could sell ice to folks in the Arctic Circle. Getting HS games on campus is one of the many steps that have to be done en route to getting SMU back where it belongs.

I've met Coach Bennett on many occasions I used to work for the team, specifically for Ed Davidson.
Coach Bennett has an energy about him.. but personally I like Jerry better

They're both great guys - I can see why they're such good recruiters.

Recruiting is a very important part of college football, but at the end of the day being able to coach the athletes that you recruit is the most important part. This is the area where Bennett is lacking. He can have all the enthusiasm he wants, but lets face it he isn't Head Coach Material!!

And you've proven again, Stallion, that you'd rather us lose than be wrong.

hey I'm not saying we should fire the coach-only laughing because I predicted it almost to the exact game when some idiot would be calling for the head of the next victim.

I believe Bennett deserves more than 14 games, I takes 3 years to get your guys in and for them to start shining.
