FYI....App State's HC was an assistant at SMU for Hayden Fry.

I had no idea Jerry Moore was their head coach. He was a much loved and very respected assistant under Hayden. He was the receivers coach and was responsible in part for Chuck Hixson's success by preparing his crew for games. This makes this upset even greater to me knowing that Coach Moore was the leader of Appalachian State. Can not believe he has been there 19 years and I did not know. Congratulations to Coach Moore.

He was the Texas Tech Coach for Bobby Leach's Miracle on 4th Street. He's been at Appalachin St. for over 20 years I believe.
