It shouldn't mean anything......PB and Steve-O made the decision months ago to play NTSU with two less days to get ready. If somehow SMU loses to NTSU, it is not an excuse.

Ex he shook my hand in 2006 and said if we had to play them in a parking lot we would beat them and we lost.

Bennett said that because both NTCC and Tech run the spread offense, he wasn't as worried about taking on the game with a short schedule. If, on the other hand, we were playing Arky St. in week 2, he wouldn't have gone for it.

I think that's just laying a counter-factual to cover his [deleted], but there's definately something to it. I mean, the exposure of playing on ESPN on Labor day is just too much to pass up for a program that truly feels that it's on the verge (or in a Make or Break year).

While in the end, I just want a "W" next Saturday, I hope that the team goes into the week with a goal of winning by more than 69 points.
