North Texas Game

I hope to God our team does not get overconfident by what OU did to NTSU. OU could have hung 100 on us. There's nothing more Todd Dodge can do to re-energize his fans than beat the Ponies at Ford Stadium.

UNT 47
SMU 6

It is amazing to me that a former defensive coordinator can't coach defense. The bigger the cushion... The analyst for the game was spot on about our inabilty to use proper technique and giving way too much cushion to the TT recievers. From Navy to now no improvement whatsoever in the defense.

PB should have been gone last year but it wasn't up to Orsini.

Next year, Free at last, free at last!

Yea, I see UNT making it a good game, possibly winning. UNT has talent and with Dodge as their 'savior', they could put up a good fight. I wonder if anyone even goes to the game after yesterdays disaster. Student section should be empty. But then again, last year we got clobbered by Tech, only to lose again to UNT. Hopefully this team comes out fired up because if SMU loses, I am boycotting the season. I have better games to watch than that crap. I am even missing Penn St./ND and TCU/Texas next saturday to watch UNT/SMU.

After yesterday's game, we shouldn't be overconfident if we were playing the East Texas Women's School for the Blind (isn't that where Burns had his previous coaching experience). There should also be some fresh memories/wounds from last years debacle in Denton.

"Wasn't up to Orsini?" What do you think those days of Bennett/Steve-O meetings were for after last season? Setting up tee times?

SMU 24
UNT 10

Sad to say, but UNT/SMU may be the best matchup this season. Gotta love the pillow fight.

FWIW: I have found were we are favored on a Vegas line (-15) and I have found were there is no line on the game.

Postby Sam I Am » Tue Sep 04, 2007 12:53 pm

It's a home game and Todd Dodge doesn't have enough talent to out body the ponies. SMU gets a win and this chat board will less angry.
