the very first time when our defense took the field, i looked at our d-line to see how we stacked up. im sorry to say, our defensive ends honestly looked like wide receivers compared to tech's o-line. cory muse played a few snaps today and that was pretty much the only time i thought we had a chance to pressure the qb. beyond that, there is nothing to be positive about our defense today. i think the d (bennett's specialty) will be what gets him fired this year. im not worried about our offense, i think it'll be fine. i am worried about the fact that we haven't scored a td against tech in two years, hope that changes

Our defensive line looked like a bunch of midgets compared to their offensive line. Bennett would rather have the D undersized because our speed obviously can make up for it --------NOT!
you crack me up. You're the same person that was calling me an idiot for being upset that we weren't recruiting bigger players, weren't you? Suddenly you get it it though, huh?

How is this fact so obvious to us and yet our coaches continue to bring in undersized defensive linemen. The big two way linemen we do sign, they always put them on offense.

Your the one who doesn't get it. The players we were talking about were NOT lineman they were running backs and defensive backs. These guys don't necessarily need to be big (see Aldridge from Houston as an example) but they need to be quick. Plus I took offense at your BLATENT SLAMMING of recruits who accepted a scholarship to SMU. They took the offer and you BAD MOUTHED them. I would have taken the offer also. BTW Beasley, who was your PRIMARY SLAM target, had over 300 yards passing and 100 yards rushing on Friday and made the Honorable Mention List of the Dallas Morning News. Right now he doesn't look like such a bad recruit. He was also one of our few recruits listed in the TOP 300 of Texas Football!

bigger men dont always win games...
when asked what the difference between App St. and Mich. was , App. St. QB Amanti Edwards said "size, but our speed made up for what we lacked in size."
if they can beat Michigan with not so big players, i think we can atleast try and get it done

Good point-- maybe the ApplState coaches put their 'undersized' players in a position to win???

We got beat in the trenches. No pass rush means no ability to get through their line. Few rushing yards and Willis getting happy feet means his line is not doing its job. Football 101. As to why we recruit undersized linemen, because they can get admitted.

Yelling ALL OUT ALL OUT didn't help anything when they were bringing the blitz.
