Hot: SMU QB Justin Willis looked noticeably faster and even more elusive. A good thing too because...
Not: The Offensive Line leaked like a sieve.
Hot: Jesse Henderson and Thomas Morstead.
Not: much pressure on Harrell. Although I did get my hopes the one time he did get knocked down because for a minute there it looked like he might not be getting up.
Hot: Mitch Enright and Andrew McKinney for a couple of awesome open field tackles. Too bad they're both supposed to be on offense, because...
Not: The defense seems to have forgotten how to tackle over the summer.
Hot: The running game. Looked to me like the backs were averaging about 6 yards per carry.
Not: The passing game.
Hot: The Boulevard. Still a great time. Wonderful seeing all the PonyFans again.
Not: Steve O. for poor gameday preparation. The Jumbotron color was out of whack. The rented sound system sucked... It was actually painful (I don't know what moron they're using for an audio consultant, but they'd be smart to hire a real acustician -- www.synaudcon.com -- not just some numbskull who has a bunch of big speakers. Steve, if you're reading this, same goes for Moody). The production folks in the booth were clearly on crack; they couldn't sync the prerecorded messages with the video, and the levels were all over the place.
Hot: The Red Raider fans sitting behind us. Nice bunch of folks. But what the heck were they doing on the fifth row, 50-yd-line? Shouldn't that be reserved for the Mustang Club?
Not: I hate to say this. But a big "not" to my beloved Mustang Band. Who's bright idea was it to have the dance team accompanied by "Rich Girl"? Jeez, talk about reinforcing an unwanted stereotype. And speaking of the dance team, they didn't appear to be... how do I say this tactfully... up to their usual form after taking the summer off. Not the most flattering outfits.
Hot: Under the coaches' collars.
