To all the NTSUers: if when you're done watching the game, please make sure my lawns all cleaned up by Monday morning. Wouldn't want to anger the homeowners association.

Very clever indeed, to think Daddy spent all that money on your education and you can't come up with better then the same old tired lines from last year. Well I guess living off the trust fund must be better than working.

Well ok, ok, I'll go with a new one. You're a horrible school in an even worse football conference with absolutely no history so you feel the need to create a "storied rivalry" with a school simply because you have this gigantic chip on your shoulder towards them.

An interesting statement on many levels, so lets start with the storied rivalry. I believe there are people at UNT and from what I heard people around the DFW area that feel yearly games between TCU, SMU, and UNT would be fun and help attendance for all schools mentioned. These three schools could play for some sort of Cup/Trophy yearly. Once again the idea was conceived to promote area interest in each school. But I can see you don't have an attendance problem.
I am not sure why you feel the need to hammer the idea of the rivalry, because it seems to me SMU fans do not have much reason to be so arrogant. I am not sure SMU is even worthy of being such a rival, if my facts are correct the Mustangs have had 1 winning season in the last 20 years and SMOO has not been to a Bowl game since 1984. You guys are just crawling with glory.
Funny as far as conferences go last year the Belt won 4 of 7 games against CUSA. I guess that would make CUSA worse than the SBC.
My big question is: who does SMU consider a true rival?

TCU, Texas Tech, Rice, Houston, anyone in the SWC. That was, what was called, a real football conference. And in reference to your winning percentage, only one response would suffice. Sun Belt bowl tie ins: 1(the conference champion) Conference USA bowl tie ins 6 to 7. Not that we deserve them, but by god we've got them!) And to answer your statement of our lack of success the last two decades, try hindering your own department and going through the self inflicted punishment and destruction that we have before you talk. No one else in college football had to deal with Ken Pye and the aftermath. You had to deal with dominating...oh what was it? 1-AA football...yeah that's right. Hail to the glory of Sun Belt! And the Football Championship Sub Division Lawn Mower Whipping Boy Division!

If there are 23-25,000 at the game-the rivalry continues. If not probably not. I'm looking for a money game which SMU needs. If its not a financial windfall then I don't see a real reason to play NTSU. I'm hoping that NTSU will come through.
