Heritage Hall and Spirit Shop

Is Heritage Hall off limits now during games. I went in to find tha the spirit shop is not open and the security hinted at the idea I wasn't supposed to be inside there. I say hinted, she ran across the room to find out what I wanted.

I am not asking for total access, but thought it would be reasonable to let someone into heritage hall to look at the history and cool off a little

My wife saw someone in Heritage Hall and asked to go in to cool off and they let her in. I figured it was open, but maybe they just thought she was going in for a private showing and sale.

In truth, it isn't set up to handle 20,000 people at one time. It is hard to estimate how many would be interested in going in, but you can't assume if it was open you would be the only one. Try getting 1,000 in there at the same time...or you could wait in a two hour line and have something else to complain about. Seriously...how would YOU handle it?????

Just do what my wife did. Go to the door and ask to go in. It may work.

take one of the yellow shirts who do absolutely nothing (or one of the 8 + police on the hill trying to arrest 6 year olds for playing) and put them at the door and say there is a maximum capacity of ______. thats what big schools do

Use fire department capacity quotas if it came to that. Let a few in at a time. I don't think there is 1,000-at-a-time interest in the attraction, but, if the only day you're in Dallas is game day, you're sch!t outta luck if you want to tour the hall, show out-of-town guests, etc. Why would you lock down the showplace for your school's athletic accomplishments when it is (finally) right there in your new stadium??? Are we that hard-up for a creative solution? What th' heck are we saving it for? Why was it built? This is the one time you want to be sure it is open and hope that it is crowded and that people are interested... not pist because it is closed with a rent-a-cop guarding the door. I didn't get "bent" when I was turned away trying to show some Tech friends - who had never seen it. They said..."It is reserved for the recruits visiting today." Well, that is good - their attention span would require maybe a 15-20 minute tour. Once they're out, open the door and let people enjoy (and appreciate) the facility. So, needless to say, my Tech buds have still not seen Heritage Hall. Guess I won't either.
