Ohio State Should Have FIRED Woody Hayes in 1968

Postby FordtoTolbert » Sun Sep 09, 2007 6:20 pm

..for crying out loud, Chuck Hixson torched the Buckeyes for 417 passing yards......what? OSU beat SMU 35-14..doesn't matter...417 yards!! FIRE HAYES...OSU sucks!! What? They played in the Rose Bowl that year....seems to me, during that period of SMU football greatness, basically 1989 - 1997, when Ramon, Jason, Mick and Romo were breaking ALL the records, we won about 2.7 games per year. With all due respect to those guys, who I love, STATS are for losers..can we get over this NTSU "stat frreak out" and get ready to kick the snot out of ASU? GO PONIES..BEAT asu!

I understand your point, but PB is no Woody Hayes.

3 of SMU's greatest Passing Days in History have come in Columbus. Fred Benners, Chuck Hixson and probably the best ever Mike Ford when Ohio St. held on for a tie in 1978. I was there for that one.
