It's amazing what the TE can do when he's included in the offensive play calling... Get the ball to the TRUE Vincent Chase.

thats what ive been saying for the past 3 years...we had a very good and big TE last year in RK and now we got one in VC...he did fumble in the TT game but showed great potential. Hopefully the difference for this weeks game will be setting up the TE and throwing to him

Vincent looked out of sorts Saturday night. Couldn't tell if he was peeved at coaches, players, himself, or just didn't feel well. On the field he was good. I just got the feeling that something was amiss.

I agree with you completely, though, that he is underutilized, just like DMart. But then again, I sat up pontificating Saturday night just before they ran Dmart in 3 or 4 successive up the middle runs that they should do just that until UNT stopped him. And about that time they did...so that's why the next play faked to him and Justin hauled can up the middle...man he scares the living bejeebers out of me when he does that.

it's not hard when everyone is focused on one wr (TO)... every pregame show said that the TE would be open early and often because they would be focusing on TO, then again the Giants DC is an exphilly coach... and can you really complain about how the ball was spread around after we scored 45?

You are right about the D focusing on TO but Glenn was out of the lineup and Witten is a pro bowler...look at the Charger Bears game: Gates is SD best WR/TE and the Bears knew that he would be a threat and focused on him, but he was still able to break through the cracks and break the 100 yeard barrier...led all receivers in yardage as a TE...

We NEED to feed the ball to the TE!

It might be nice that when he catches a pass, he actually holds on to it instead of fumbling at the opponent's 20.

Let's see we have Givens, Sledge, Sanders and Lowery -- There are enough balls to go around for everybody. I don't want my TE to be the leading receiver week after week. If he gets 2-3 per game, that's fine. He has four through the first two games.

I hope we can steal the statue of Liberty play that Oregon used from Boise's play book last year.
Michael Jordan plays ball. Charles Manson kills people. I talk.

That would take away practice time spent on the swinging gate. Besides, someone would get hurt if we tried to run a play like that - and who could coach it?

I think he always looks like that. (no offense!)

General, with logic like that, now I know why they didn't let you invade Russia.

Without Witten, the Cowboys open 0-1.

Same will happen with us (down the road) if we do not involve Vincent. Although Vincent did fumble on the 1 reception against TTJC, he knocked the [deleted] outta 1 defender-- same happened on his other receptions.

His 11 yds/reception shows me it's another ..."Mustang 1st down" ... when we get him the ball.
