Why bother going to a PB press conference? It's usually the same "jibba jabba" coach speak that he gives every time. What he says just depends on whether or not the team wins or loses the game.

The framework is essentially the same and we all know he's not going to give all sorts of insider information, but it's not the same week in and week out. It pertains to the events that unfolded during the game (e.g. addressing secondary issues, the short turnaround, etc.).

Correct, Gia-- I'm always impressed by Journalism Majors who lecture athletes about collegiate effort.

I'm still enjoying the cowboys win right now...just got home.

But, "I'm always impressed by jocks who think geeky journalism writers have no knowledge bout athlete peeps."

Sorry, the whole you never played it so you dont know **** is silly and has been proven wrong countless times. But hey...I wouldnt know.

SWC2010, you win. The fact that the guy writes about sports everyday but probably hasnt played a down of collegiate football makes him unsuitable for commenting on this team. BRILLIANT!!

And perunapower, I offer peace and I do apologize for our earlier back and forth. I respect your opinions and share your views in 99% of things on the pony-side.

who disputed it? merely said he definitely should have acknowledged the short turn around when blasting a program and not so subtly suggesting the coach should be replaced after not blowing out UNT. I dont know when we became so good on paper that the media should rip an smu team for not dominating a D-1 opponent. by the way, some of you act like you know JJT and hes your cousin or something.

Just noticed this...HF; I am fairly certain that nobody on this board is related to JJT. I quite frankly dont like the guy personally. But it is interesting to see someone, like yourself, devolve into the whole "I bet he's your buddy/mother/brother/gaylover etc" act. I thought you would have something more clever at this point in the game, at your age and experience. And I am still waiting for an answer to my earlier question: What exactly did " My New Brotha" JJT do to [deleted] you off?

Actually, I don't think anyone from the dmn was at the post ntcc press conference. Usually Kate would be there, but she wasn't on Saturday.

No, I think Bennett has forgotten he's the best D coordinator in the conference.

UNT hung 600+ yards on SMU. And they lost. I'd say Bennett and Gush did something right to produce a 14 pt win. If it had been just 7, I would say dumb luck. But a pick off a decent pass rush in a crucial point in the end of the game? Somebody did something well when it counted.

my age and experience? huh? do we know each other? I have nothing against taylor. I think my original post was plenty respectful if you read it. not sure what could really offend you about my comment. I was joking about the cousin thing but i definitely think there are posters on ponyfans who have DMN connections.

Take mr. pony for instance. Clearly left out of the will of his late rich uncle who graduated from UT and owned Belo.
