Well, this is from a dog owner that brings him to our tailgate (which started at 10 am before anyone else on the BLVD was there, by the way). We take him home a couple of hours before kickoff and attend every game. Generally people coming by actually stop to pet him. I think the majority of the dogs I've seen on the BLVD are very well behaved. I don't think a few rotten apples should prevent people from bringing dogs to a public outdoor space, but if some dogs cause problems, or owners don't bring their poopie bags to clean up, then those people should be punished in some way.

Leave the dogs at home. Period.

And before anyone thinks that I don't like dogs...I've owned 4 and none of them ever went to a tailgating event with me!

is yours the big fella that usually has an SMU jersey on (I'm talking about your dog).

I've often wondered what everyone does with their dog when the game starts. I just figure most of them didn't go to the game.

Personally, I would love to be able to bring my dog to the games. Unfortunately, I live too far away to bring him to the games. If I lived anywhere within 2-5 miles, I would probably bring him to the tailgating. I see no problem with dogs on the Boulevard. As long as people pick up any mess (UPD cops or probably SMU cops can give a $200 citation to anybody who doesn't) and the dogs aren't bothering everybody, I think it is fine. The Peruna Handlers are supposed to be aware of everything going on around them. They should be able to expect anything from drunken frat boys to little kids to dogs messing with Peruna.

As far as all of the other complaints about gameday, everybody has them eventually...for any sporting event. I personally think that SMU has more than it should. High school football games are run better than some of the aspects of SMU games. Personally, there was only one or two games last year where I had a problem with the yellow-jackets. There was a problem this year for a visitor I brought picking up her ticket at will-call a couple of hours before the Tech game. Most games, I have no trouble with anything. However, there are constantly problems that I hear about from friends or people on ponyfans.

I think it SUCKS that the grass isn't overseeded and cut to putting green length. I need to work on my putting. The school clearly doesn't know what the hell it is doing by not catering to my every desire. If they catered to my personal preference, then clearly we would have 30,000 in the stands every game.

The anti-umbrella policy is cleary a crime against humanity. How dare they enforce a policy that has been in place for years! How dare they mimic a policy in place at most venues! Don't they know the key to ticket sales is catering to the pro-umbrella lobby?

And another thing. Those generators make too much noise. They need to banned. If it weren't for the noisy generators, my entire clan of 138 people would be tailgating before every game and buying two season tickets each.

And the Mustang Club won't be getting another dime from me until some kind of dress code is put in place on the Boulevard. Them sorority chicks dress way too provacatively; why, I could see one of them's belly button. Girl, where your momma fed you why's you was in the womb is not something I need to see. You never saw Tiffany or Debbie Gibson dress like that.

And don't get me started by allowing someone to put up a sign that said "Hummer." What the hell kind of place are they runnin'?

Let's start a petition. Yeah, a petition. We'll show'em who's boss.

A small soda and popcorn were $2.50 each last year. At UH, I believe they were $3 to $3.50 each for the smallest sizes, so I'm not surprised that SMU's prices may have gone up this year.

The new faculty ticket policy knocked me out of game 1 because I thought my wife could get the tickets and give them to me as she'd doen for the last few years. I wasn't going to pay $47 for endzone tickets for a three year old. I also missed Saturday night's game but caught the end on the radio, so I'll add that it's good that The Ticket had the broadcast this week vs. 1700 AM.

Most venues have vigilant security. It's certainly been the case at UH, but the tailgating is great, and you may see that in November if you go down to Houston for the game.
