by that time Orsini should have us in the Top 25 since he has assured us the Model is in place to compete for that goal. I wreally wreally believe him.

I think we all need to temper our [deleted] a little. We will be burned out by 2009/2010. Save the good [deleted] for the year we are in so we can always be fresh for the next year.

In '09 Willis will be a redshirt senior. We should have a decent team that year. Perhaps Orsini decided that if we want to be in a BCS Bowl, '09 is our best chance to do that. Of course, by then reality will have set in. But clearly '09 is a schedule to get BCS notice if we can run the table (which is a huge IF). Notice he didn't schedule UT, OU, LSU, Georgia or Tennessee which would have been suicide to such hopes. But wins over Tech, Missou, TCU and Navy with a CUSA run would be enough to put a team in the Top 12 which secures a BCS berth. I'm not believing that will happen, but I can at least see the rationale behind it.

And you doubted me???
Of course I think when I posted about this a year ago, or whenever, the evidence was highly suspect, and not up to journalistic standards with only one - sketchy - source.
Glad to see that it's official.... looking forward to going to both games.

And don't forget we will have hired Todd Dodge after this season so his kid will be a RS Freshman backing Willis up.

Good point. I almost forgot that was going to happen at the end of this year. Heck, it almost happened last Saturday.

I've seen Mizzou twice in person. Load of talent... undercoached... but plenty of talent.

I say bring on anyone from a BCS conference that will schedule us home & home. Perhaps the day will come that these games will not dictate a "premium" ticket price?

Think Steve O is taking these kinds of things into account?
Navy: Option...save for the last time we played Rice at home, we've never done well against it in the PB regime Tech: see last Monday Mizzou: don't they run the spread too? TCU: Well, it's TCU. And if Stallion's leading indicators hold true, by 09 and 10, they will have outrecruited us another four or 5 years, so itll be what 22 out of 23 years.
Interesting thing to note, Baylor in their football program for the Rice game has SMU listed for their 2009 schedule.
