The U of Houston waxed Miss State. They are hardly the 8th best program in the state. UH is the 3rd, 4th, or 5th best program in the state this year.

Miss St has the 2nd longest losing streak in the country and Jackie Sherrill has worn out his welcome there. Houston is behind Texas, A$M, Tech & TCU but I agree they're probably better than the rest.

Would be an interesting match-up, though. Houston's offense against UNT's defense.

Just a guess:

1. A&M
2. UT
3. TCU
4. Tech
5. Houston
6. UNT
7. SMU/Baylor
8. tie Austin Westlake
8. tie Ennis
9. Mary-Hardin Baylor
10.UTEP

This most humiliating fact of last night's game: As we walked to the parking lot, a kid no older than 7 asked his dad when SMU played Rockwall. I laughed until I cried.

Cause - overcusser - we outplayed them - (barely) and on a neutral field we would have won.

some reasoning behind my thoughts on this poll- TCU over TECH- according to the NCAA TCU has the #67 toughest schedule as opposed to Tech at #111,

UNT over Houston- same reasoning- North Texas has he #1 toughest schedule, UH-#114,

SMU over Baylor- granted SMU has the much tougher schedule at tied for #46, versus Baylor at #116. But in head to head competition Baylor won. I can't ignore that.

Oh here is the link if you want to check out the schedule strength:

what moron figured TCU's schedule was tougher than Tech's? CUSA is better than Big XII? Arizona better than NCSU? Arizona couldn't beat NM this year. Maybe it was Vandy that convinced them TCU had a tough schedule??? They both play SMU, so nobody gains an advantage there!

UNT plays a tough non-conference schedule with OU and Ark, but the SBC compared to CUSA? Also, Houston played a body bag game in the big house at Michigan, so I just don't see any validity in that argument.

"what moron..." it comes from the ncaa,

and note this isnt ranking the ENTIRE schedule. It's ranking difficulty of schedule up through Saturday's game. So far UNT has played the most difficutl schedule but UNT's schedule get's significantly easier with sunbelt play.
