4th Down Decision?

Postby Ponymon » Sat Sep 15, 2007 8:51 pm

Well I see go-for-it Phil was back to form by going for it when it was 4th and 6 instead of kicking the field goal early in the 2nd half. :? Of course, we didn't come close to making it! Hope this decision doesn't come back to bite him in the rear at the end of the game!

You can defend Punksatony Phil all day long. He still is the MASTER of questionable coaching calls. I would have kicked the field goal.

You know I agreed with the call. When your defense can't stop anybody even Sun Belt teams all year you got to score Touchdowns. I had no problem with the call. Its kinda like playing Tech-if your kicking FGs your going to lose.

I totally agreed with the call. And the ball hit the receiver in the hands (although low) so it was close to working. We held them, almost got a safety and then scored a touchdown on a short field. Got a good, all be it short, spark of life. There were plenty of bad things happening last night. This was not one of them.
