What is wrong with this. I have friends that actually went to other schools and work at different places that I. I think this is merely a statement of friendship. I am sometimes amazed at the things people look for to criticize. Our problems are many and at many levels, but this is not one of them or the cause of any.
I was drunk and pi**ed off...guess the Motel 6 in Jonesboro had the 'No Vacancy' sign out.

I agree - mrydel.
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

When Orsini hauls off and fires Bennett tomorrow, bringing in a "name" coach with a "proven d-1 record," I think some of you will be unpleasantly surprised when you see that our defense is still absolutely horrible.

We have gotten three stars recruits that chose SMU because they believe the hype that they're changing things around the hilltop. Guess what they're either redshirting or playing special teams. Don't bad mouth the player that haven't played yet u might just run them off.
u heard me!

Really? Read the Recruiting Roundups before you type.
Regardless of Coach Bennett's defensive knowledge, anyone who thought losing Haywood, Rogers, Bonds, Carrington and Sturdivant  and then shelving McCray and Handy yesterday  wouldn't set the defense back a lot is beyond naive. Marvin Lewis or Gregg Williams could coach this defense and when you take away talent like that, it's going to take a huge step back.

Guess we know why DKR disliked uniforms with stripes.

1. This coach was hired for his talent in coaching defenses. 2. This coach's defense is one of the worst I've ever seen.
I THOUGHT HE WAS HIRED BECAUSE OF HIS RECRUITING TALENTS IN TEXAS. GUESS WHAT, I DON'T THINK HE'S BROUGHT IN A THREE STAR RECRUIT YET. BACKS CAN'T RUN UNLESS THEY HAVE A LINE TO BLOCK FOR THEM,
He HAS brought in some 3 star recruits and NO 4 star recruits. The problem is he can't KEEP them! But then again he is so knowledgeable that he could take NO star recruits and make them football players. OOOooooopppppps, excuse me, thats what we have now!

Very true. I think last year was our best chance to make a bowl game. We had the best defense we had in years, and essentially the same offense as this year, except we still had our bigger posession receivers (Pellerin and Chase). The defense this year has more holes than a mile-long piece of swiss cheese. We are relying on too many young players that aren't physically ready yet, and a secondary (and scheme) that is badly underperforming

Sorry, I disagree. These same coaches knew years ago that Haywood, Rogers, Bonds, Carrington and Sturdivant would finish their careers in 06. They should have been prepping replacements and recruiting new talent to fill these voids.
The coaches have failed these players miserably.

perfectly put regarding bennett's tenure on the hilltop. you can gripe about the talent here, but we do have some athletes on the team folks. it does absolutely nothing to degrade the guys that are putting out on the field. when i ask current players about it, they hint at coaching is the inhibitor right now
