That's probably the thing your coach who talked about this program competing for conference championship and a bowl appearance should not be saying. This was a contract signed so this program should have won.

It's embarrassing to read. It's unacceptable the start we are off to. What's even more unacceptable is that this program has not really identified what it really wants to be -- in anything

A disgraceful performance.

Phil knows the sand is running through the hour glass. It's unacceptable watching a team that looks confused and appears to have little energy to play. These September swoons are ghastly.

We're going to Pony Up! Maybe it's about time that he sucks it up!

If we're 1-5 coming out of So. Miss game -- anyone think that's not going to happen? -- it's time to let him go and let the special teams coordinator finish the season....oh, wait we don't have one.

Perhaps all the football Phil forgot goes back to him forgetting to hire a special teams coordinator.

My god, someone has changed his tune. The start is unacceptable? Did you think we were going to beat Tech? That UNT wasn't going to throw the ball all over the place (presumably leading to a shootout, regardless of which team won)? That ASU, which was MUCH improved at the end of last season and has some serious athletes, wouldn't at least give us a game at their place, especially with our outmanned defense?

I didn't like the outcome, either, but I wouldn't like it if we lost to USC or LSU, either. I'd be shocked, however, if any move is made during the season, after Southern Miss or any other game.
Plagiarize!

(Only be sure always to call it, please .... "research.")

In theory, ASU is a team we should beat. That's why the contract was signed so these September disasters wouldn't happen. How is that working out?

ASU improved, but weren't we led to believe that we were improved as well?

I want Phil to win, but I don't see it anymore. The confusion on what to do with personnel -- putting people in the right place to succeed -- and game management especially the huge first quarter deficits.

Again, this is an either/or season for him. We're either playing football in December or we're looking for a new coach IN December.

But if we start 1-5, what's the point with at UH, at Tulsa and UCF still to play?

If its a step back, Then Resign

Please don't put our fans and school through anymore

If he resigns and we commence a new search he can help us manage the process better

It is of course the right thing to do

At least you made money finding out you are not a head coach

There are worse things that could happen to somebody in their life

Please note the sarcasm. This team has to play with a sense of urgency. They never act like they do. Would it help? I have no idea. But with my seats, you can't sense it. I sense a country club atmosphere.

1. I believe we were 1-2 last year? and we reacted with a sense of urgency?!
2.You sense a country club atmosphere? it must be all the pastel polo's and champagne on the blvd

1. 1-2 coming off a win over Sam Houston and going into Ark. St. in 2006. 1-2 coming off a loss at Ark. St. and going over to the play TCU. Big difference.

2. I dare this team to play for its coach because I sometimes wonder if they really are. I'll guess we'll find out the character of this group Saturday night.

1. 1 win against SHSU v. 1 win against UNT

2.they showed last year after the UNT game they can rebound, time to prove themselves again and get ready for conference play...

3. We can still win the west, and then we can make a highlight film called
"How The West Was Won: The Story of a Man, a Mustache, and a Dream."

From your couch at home, perhaps you could not tell. But if you were at the game, you would know the team played hard and they never quit. Say what you will about the coaches, but don't doubt the player effort.

I'm not basing this on the Ark. St. game. But if anyone has seen enough games in person, they know this trend. UNT last year, Tulane the year before. It has happened.

Nice - in addition to calling out the players, you're setting them up for a fall. Maybe we should hire you to give them a motivational speech.

They need something to heads out of their a$$e$. And with your first sentence, you're already expecting them to lose. So what are we talking about here?

I don't think this team knows how to win and what it takes to get there consistently. I'll go to the games, cheer like hell and then pray the rosary and see what happens.

I think our talent is better but doesn't play like it. I think our coaches are completely lost.

This program presents itself as being disorganized. Organized teams consistently win. Disorganized teams don't.
