That UNT wasn't going to throw the ball all over the place (presumably leading to a shootout, regardless of which team won)? That ASU, which was MUCH improved at the end of last season and has some serious athletes, wouldn't at least give us a game at their place, especially with our outmanned defense?

I didn't like the outcome, either, but I wouldn't like it if we lost to USC or LSU, either. I'd be shocked, however, if any move is made during the season, after Southern Miss or any other game.

In theory, ASU is a team we should beat. That's why the contract was signed so these September disasters wouldn't happen. How is that working out?

Yes, it is a team that a 'better' conference team like SMU shouldn't lose...but good God...ASU and Troy have CONSISTENTLY been able to hang with TOP Div-1a schools - at least for 3 1/2 quarters.
