You said, "They never act like they do."
I disagree. Don't talk smack about the players.

Not expecting them to lose or win. But if they do lose to TCU, it's obviously the end of the world for you. Sorry, I love football and I love to cheer for the Ponies. I get upset when they lose just like the next fan. But I never understood it when people fly off the handle so much when a team loses a few games.
It's a crappy job but someone's gotta do it.

We've lost a lot of games since 1989.
Flying off the handle may be justified when you have a season that has expectations attached to it and the season is on the brink of complete collapse.
I hope I'm wrong.

...and sorry but this is a lame argument, or where you just trying to score humor points here? Special teams have been holding their own this year.

Special Teams is about the only area I am proud of as an SMU fan...and there is not even a special teams coach...maybe that says something??

Yep, and we've churned through a lot of coaches since then, too. George S. Patton wrote:Flying off the handle may be justified when you have a season that has expectations attached to it and the season is on the brink of complete collapse.

1-2 is not the brink of anything. Hyperbole doesn't make your argument any more convincing.

Yes, I pointed out earlier the sarcasm. They have been the best unit on the field this year.
EDIT: And the ST's performance has meant little because our freakin' defense blows!!

I didn't like the outcome, either, but I wouldn't like it if we lost to USC or LSU, either. I'd be shocked, however, if any move is made during the season, after Southern Miss or any other game.
In theory, ASU is a team we should beat. That's why the contract was signed so these September disasters wouldn't happen. How is that working out? ASU improved, but weren't we led to believe that we were improved as well? I want Phil to win, but I don't see it anymore. The confusion on what to do with personnel -- putting people in the right place to succeed -- and game management especially the huge first quarter deficits. Again, this is an either/or season for him. We're either playing football in December or we're looking for a new coach IN December. But if we start 1-5, what's the point with at UH, at Tulsa and UCF still to play?
you are an absolute idiot.
ASU wasn't signed as our 'guarantee' win. ASU has been pretty good the past 8 years. LAST year they sucked, but the year prior they were very very good - look at their QB, and their dual RBs...jeez.
Yes, it is a team that a 'better' conference team like SMU shouldn't lose...but good God...ASU and Troy have CONSISTENTLY been able to hang with TOP Div-1a schools - at least for 3 1/2 quarters.
SMU wouldn't have had a chance against Texas...

They haven't had a winning season in longer than we have. 1995. Not saying they aren't a good team now, but I wouldn't call them very good prior to this or last year.
