I think Willis would be happy if we bring in a top notch Head Coach that makes him a better QB and wins more football games.

Yes, because of the stellar defense he has assembled this year...

i agree, but didn't know how loyal he was to PB...
i think you bring in Neuheisel and J-Will is a heisman candidate by his senior year!!
and we are closer to TOP 25 than espn bottom 10 (like i think we'll be this week!)

When there was talk of firing Bennett last year Willis did make a comment that if Bennett left he would leave also.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

Good lord, you don't hang on to a coach to please a 21 year old who will be gone in two years anyway. If the decision is made to can Bennett, and Willis wants out too, show him the door and move on.

i agree, and i believe that whoever the new coach would be, he would want his own staff.

Wasn't a justification to keep Bennett, but if you are thinking about hiring a coach specifically to develop Willis it needs to be taken into consideration that he may not stay if Bennett leaves.

Orsini seems to get leftovers from ND and GT. I think Bill Curry and Bobby Ross have aged out of old GT coaches. At ND, Ty Willingham has a great gig at Washington. Weis might be available by season's end especially if ND starts 0-8, but would want to keep his severance package by not working real soon and wouldn't need another rebuilding project like SMU. Neuheisal and Barnett clearly come to mind as does Bill McCartney (if he can be lured off the preaching circuit).
