The Team will Boycott Wins until Bennett is fired....

Odds are we will go 2-10 this year......BUT it is more likely that we will go 0-12 than it is we will go 3-10 or better.....

I think it's ridiculous to discuss boycotting the football team. If the fans give up entirely, why even bother keeping a football team around? Hell, we got rid of track and field and they were good!

Support the team. Demand more out of our coaches. Demand more from the AD's office. Recognize that coaching is an issue. An even bigger issue is getting in a coach who can completely turn the ship around when we have such high entrance standards for our athletes. We've used the death penalty as an excuse long enough. I seriously doubt we are under the NCAA microscope. Not suggesting we go back to paying our players, but we could lower the SAT requirement a bit to open up the recruiting field for us some. The program as a whole needs an overhaul. I had and still have hopes that Orsini can do that overhaul. I thought PB had potential but from the way we've looked I have lost that hope. I'll eat my words if he gets to a bowl game this year.

You do know that we won a game, right?

UTEP, Tulane, Rice and Memphis are the only games I see us as having a chance of winning this year.

Support the team!! Between 1951 and 1966, we had 3 winning seasons, boycotters wold have missed Dandy Don, Hershel Forester, Coach Gregg, Raymond Berry, Big Bad Bill Livingstone, Glynn Gregory, Jerry Mays...victories over Notre Dame, Mizzou, Cal, Georgia Tech, Navy, A&M, Arkansas, Texas..missed Roger the Dodger, etc.,etc...this needs needs a lift, some solid support from the stands, not a bunch a whiney crap from a bunch of spoiled babies. Make some noise, raise some hell...BEAT TCU!!
If you really want to make a change start raising money. If you can come to the school with enough cash to have them do what you want then they might actually be able to do it. Not showing up just makes it harder for the school to raise the cash to make any changes.
..................No question, help raise/give Money and than your commits/thoughts count. Orsini is the real deal and he will get this program turned around. The only question is support, money, and time. So now is not the time to give up.

Hey Orsini, rethinking your decision to bring Bennett back?

This is a boneheaded idea.

Well, if I was in Dallas i'd bust out my mustaschioed "Bennett Bag" only after the 6th loss.

Good luck PB! I hope you can coach these guys to a bowl. Please show us this is feasible with a win over TCU.

I won't stop going to games and supporting the team as long as they keep playing. I will be rethinking my MC donation though if things don't change this year.

You NEVER boycott your team. You never turn your back on the players who are out there busting their tails for us. You never turn your back on your alma mater. The earlier comments are right: if you don't like Coach Bennett, fine, but turning your back on the players is counterproductive, and whining on this board is childish. Want to change? Talk to Steve-O. Call him. E-mail him. Knock on his door. But do not ever abandon the guys who chose to play for our school. I, for one, will be in Fort Worth, cheering like hell for the Ponies, because they need our support, not mockery. Grow up and support your team. You don't have to send Coach Bennett a Christmas card if you don't want to, and if you want to talk to Orsini about a change, do so. But for god's sake, do not turn it against the players. I've been to practices (before they were closed) and to all three games, and there are a lot of guys busting their tails to right the ship. They, if nobody else, deserve much better than this idiotic boycott idea. If anything, bring MORE people to a game. Make it louder -- and pro-SMU -- and see if rather than continuously [deleted] and moaning, you can do anything to help the Ponies.

Go beat the crap out of Froggy High.

Ah, the morons are now out in force. When there is a numeric guarantee that SMU will finish even or less than .500, then Bennett is done. No earlier...no later.

Geez...and I thought I needed a nap.

feel free to make your statement and not show up the rest of this year. As you've acknowledged, most of our "fans" boycotted this program long ago...and it didn't have anything to do with Bennett. That, more than anything, is why we aren't playing with the BCS boys.

Long live the 1500
