Boycott SMU Football Until Bennett Resigns

No one is really going to boycott the team or wear bags. But, I doubt if many out of state games are going to have their usual cadre of fans.

The issue isn't W-L's but the way this record has been compiled. Given last year and these three games, there is little hope that this team could be competitive with those upsets of the 60's. They are not playing smart and quite frankly they are not playing quick. That is they seem slow off every play as though they are thinking what to do. Reminds me of a bird dog that has received too many shock collar adjustments--rather lose the bird than do something to get that shock again!

While many SMU students, alumni, and football fans in the area have already done this, the rest of us need to show our disgust for this joke of a program and quit attending games!!!! Hey Orsini, rethinking your decision to bring Bennett back?

boycott justin willis?
yeah we're bad
but that boy can play
it's sad to say, but he's a joy to watch even in a loss
it's not those kids fault, they haven't given up
i would not consider boycotting our team

What Billy Joe fails to understand that that if him and people like him don't go to the games in the first place, a boycott won't make much of a difference. Example:

Activist: I am boycotting all peanut butter!

Rational Person: Why is that?

Activist: Because I have a severely allergic to peanuts and I will boycott it until we either find a way to make peanutless-peanut butter or they invent a wonderdrug that can cure my allergy! WHO'S WITH ME!?!

Rational Person: So you don't eat it in the first place and you're now boycotting it?

Activist: Yes because it will force Jiffy to change their CEO because of his misguided ways! WHO'S WITH ME!?!

Rational Person: ...

I don't care if you love PB or hate him. I want to see us in a bowl game this year and if some of you people want to kill my dream then I question your passion for the Mustangs.

Our players and coaches need to believe that they can go in and win. Every time. Some people on this board do not help that and boycotting is cancer to a team. We need to back our Ponies 110% until they are done for the season and by God I hope that there are 10 more games to go....

Want a new coach? YES
Boycott the team? NO
I will be at every game rooting the Mustangs on to victory. I support those kids who committed to SMU. They deserve it.
But once the season is over, I am going to be vocal on candidates to coach the 2008 Mustangs.

If you think the people on this board are the ones killing your dream then I question your intellect.

I saw Kyle DeGroat yesterday, crutching it into Ford to go get treatment on that nasty leg injury. He literally gave his physical well-being to make our team better, and he's in there getting treatment so he can be back out there next year.

Seeing what he and the rest of the guys go through for us, I'd be pretty ashamed to turn my back on the team.
