What are key factors or objectives for success in pursing and building a major FB program?
Here is a list of what the MAC and its' schools have accomplished in recent years to compete effectively against BCS schools. The lessons learned apply to all Mid-Majors/non-BCS conferences, their member schools and, of course, us.

BCS nightmare number 1- Northern Ill. goes undefeated. They beat Alabama and Maryland, you can't say their conference schedule included cream puffs when Marshall, Toledo, and Bowling Green have some legitimate scalps this year and Miami of Ohio even played well against BCS teams. I am pulling for No. Ill. the rest of the year just to give Mike Tranghese (also head of the BCS) another big fat stinky sandwich.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
