you saw Michael Crabtree play his first college Game. He's heading for a 150 catch 2,250 yards and 25 TD season as a freshman. Heisman numbers?

The guy is great. Too bad we have a coach that doesn't recruit DISD. Interesting article in today's DMN about Casey Fitzgerald wanting to come to SMU, but we refused to offer him a scholarship. I don't know if it was grades or not, but I remember seeing his name in the paper in a lot of his high school games and thinking that we should definitely be looking at him. Yes he was a sleeper, but then our current coach is supposed to be an expert in finding sleepers. He had his coming out party against us and it looks like he is continuing to put up numbers.

No, no, we're not supposed to take sleepers, remember? Only the players the computer nerds at the recruiting services deem worthy should be getting a call.

Crabtree is amazing. Next time we play Texas Tech, I'll care how good he is.

GRADES? Did you hear what they said on ESPN during the tech game about our high standards? Yeah, you cant play for SMU unless you have a 2.0 and score an 820 on the SAT.

I can do that with my eyes closed. Oh, and this just in, Stanford would beat SMU 10 times out of 10. Yes, in football and in Math class.
