What a bunch of garbage. There has been no revealation of significant NCAA violations in the UT Football team under DeLoss Dodd. In Fact, there have been no newspaper investigative reports of widespread NCAA violationa at UT in Football under DeLoss Dodd-and that's what usually causes an NCAA investigation. You guys are just spouting a bunch of 25 year old hearsay which in a legal proceeding such as the NCAA amounts to what is called "NO EVIDENCE" of significant NCAA violations. You don't think there are disgruntled former UT players-where's the evidence?
Marcus Dupree got a pair of boots, which probably cost a grand or more, which is just as much as they nailed SMU for and took away their bowl and TV back in 1974 when I went to school there. I believe that UT lost a few scholarships on that one, but didn't lose TV or bowl. Also it didn't hurt that the head of the NCAA rules committee drove an ORANGE (that's with an O!) Cadillac and was head of UT's law school! (Charles Wright) Facts are facts and I think it is time to MOVE on!
Blow it out your ear, Stal. It's not real life; it's a football board. You can take your accusations of hearsay, print them off, wad them up, and shove them up your sanctimonious [deleted]. "Moderation in all things, and especially in Absoluts [vodka]." The Benediction, Doc Breeden, circa 1992
Wild Bill, Stallion has selective and short memory and/or knowledge. My bro-in-law who played for eATMe in the late '70's still belly laughs to this day over what he knew eATMe was offering/giving and how SMU got gang piled on for much less. He was a 2 year roomate of Ed Simonini (sp). It's spilt milk but there is no true justice.
