Cheap shot

Postby Diamond Girl » Mon Sep 24, 2007 1:14 pm

How's our player who had his helmet ripped off and his front tooth knocked out in the fourth quarter? Where was the ref, and is the TCU player going to be reprimanded for use of excessive force?

They called a penalty, the player was taken out and Patterson gave him a mouthful on the sidelines. Whether or not any further action is being taken, I do not know. Hopefully a few missing teeth only make Mr. Leonard a little meaner looking.

Even the CSTV announcers said that normally you would be immediately kicked out of the game for something like that. They showed the replay over and over, but at least the announcers talked about how our player was beating the TCU player and that is why the TCU player was so frustrated.

Doubt TCU will reprimand their player at all. That may be the right thing to do on a lot of levels, but this is college fb.

Ask Mike Ford if TCU does anything to cheap shot artist. My guess is they will put up his picture on the wall with the other 3 TCU All-Ame4ricans and the 123 other cheap shot artist.

Ryan Leonard has quietly been one of the better players on our defense since the opener. Hopefully he'll get his chops fixed before the UTEP game, but if not, maybe it will irritate him enough to really [deleted] him off and help him tear up the UTEP offensive line. Can't wait until that guy grows over the next four years - I think we stumbled on to a real player.

he played against my high school in the state championship two years ago. I thought he was the best player on the Hebron defense that year, and they had some other players that were pretty darn good.

He ought to get an all-Madden college nomination. Teeth knocked out. blood everywhere, and trying to go after the TCU guy (not printing the word I wanted to use), who cheap shotted him. Great attitude.

I second the motion for giving our guy the Madden Award.

He's undersized (so far) for the position, but it's become readily apparent that he's one seriously tough SOB.
