Hold on to the thought. It may be another 2-3 years though IF Bennett can continue to sell recruits on SMU after the abysmal performance so far this year. If not, the timetable is so distant that I don't want to think about it. TCU is right. Why would they want to be in the WAC? The MWC is better but not by much unless they bring in Hawaii and BSU (I think Fresno has already started heading south with their new recruiting standards). CUSA is treading water for TCU.

The folks over there in Frog land now believe that if the ACC invites another BE team that TCU will be invited to join the Big East, or the Big XII if the Big X adds Missouri. Nice to think big. We're just hoping not to be sent to the SunBelt.

TCU wants to move up, but no BCS conference is going to have an opening for them in the coming round of changes. I think the Frogs are admitting that the MWC has higher football standing than does the C-USA.
But C-USA has the Tulane school president, and he will come closer to getting concessions that benfit his school (and its conference) than have any of the MWC schools. So treading water is the best TCU can do right now, and SMU is fortunate that they may get to move into a better regional arrangment for themselves.

TCU started the season at #25. Even if they go undefeated, they should still end the season #25, in my opinion. They do not play ANYBODY that should increase their ranking.
