Women's basketball staff to host first 'Hoop Hour'

Women's Basketball Staff Hosts First 'Hoop Hour'
Event Oct. 3 at Trinity Hall

Sept. 26, 2007

DALLAS (SMU) - Come meet the SMU women's basketball coaching staff at the first `Hoop Hour' of the year from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Trinity Hall Irish Pub in Mockingbird Station (5321 E. Mockingbird). The first 100 people will receive a free beverage coupon, courtesy of SMU women's basketball.

Head coach Rhonda Rompola and her staff will visit with fans to discuss the team and the upcoming season, which begins with exhibition games Oct. 31 against the Houston Jaguars and Nov. 4 against Lake Truck Lines. The regular season opens Nov. 9, when nationally-ranked Texas A&M comes to SMU's Moody Coliseum.

Cool idea. Have a brew with Rhonda. She's really cool to talk with. Have had a couple of nice chats with her on the boulevard.

Watch out for the little guard from FW Dunbar that we got. Fast.

That team should contend for the CUSA title this year. I would be disappointed if they don't get at least to the WNIT this year.

I agree with you on all counts. Rhonda and her staff are some of the greatest people you'll ever meet, and I'm looking forward to this. I also agree that this team should have a really strong year - like conference champs.
