...just want to report a violation of a recent convert to jtstangs' No Expectations movement.
You got to give the guy
credit though. He was cheering when YOU were probably sitting on your [deleted].
Anyway when UTEP scores in regulation, MM65 grabs one of those huge drinks filled with ice and throws it into the brick wall on the top deck of the stadium literally sending thousands of shards of ice throughout the top 10-15 rows on about the 50.
Then in overtime with expectations still high. UTEP scores to win and MM65 proceeds to loudly call for Phil's immediate dismissal. Then he proceeds to run up to every UTEP fan within 50 feet and loudly screaming at them that they deserved to win -probably scaring the [deleted] out of them since I'm sure they thought the guy wanted to fight. Then he thanked them again screaming at the top of his voice THANK YOU FOR GETTING OUR COACH FIRED and repeating it at least 5 times.
Then after storming out he could be seen congratulating and shaking the hand of every unsuspecting UTEP fan he came across all the way right past Doak Walker while loudly spouting Stallion dogma I might add. "Call the AD and tell them to end this crap or its going to go on for another 20 years.
I thought he no longer had expectations for SMU. Oh no-"he's got high hopes-he's got high hopes-he's got high apple pie in the sky hopes." "Whoops there goes another....."

Damn right I did, Stallion. UTEP deserved to win that game because they didn't give up. Once again, SMU's coaches found a way to lose. Yep...I got 'caught up in the moment'...excuse the f*ck outta me! Lucy pulled that football away from Charlie Brown once again. And I was shaking the UTEP fans hands so I don't think anyone thought I was going to 'fight them'. You obviously missed my one 'rant' with some SMU parents - who questioned why SMU is 'so bad' - that it's 'the model' which you so often espouse. By the way, since you followed me almost all the way to my car in the Red Lot, does that make you a stalker? Next time introduce yourself. Sorry if I got ice on you, though.

This is the best thread I have ever read on Pony Fans. I am cracking up and the loss doesn't bother me much when reading this.
I will give a cheers to MM65 as he is certainly a passionate guy. As an example, he often single handedly leads chants at SMU hoops games with a couple hundred in attendance. Always a fan.

That wasn't ice from Mr. Mustang 2525. That was coming from the hull after the Good Ship Mustang struck the largest in a long line of icebergs.

Good Stuff.
I admire MM65's passion...easy to get caught in the moment....Luckily, I am just getting over some food poisoning and skipped the pre game beers or I mighta been there with him.....
I must say though that the UTEP fans were a pleasant bunch and I too shook the hands of those around me and congratulated them on showing great heart and notching a tough win to an exciting game....
