I'm still not buying the "out athleted" bit here in this instance...I saw two pretty evenly matched teams...Our offense was moving just as effectively as theirs....difference is Price showed some balls and took some chances when the situation called for it and changed some things up when they needed to.....

When we had the chance to show some balls with two chances at clock killing drives...we tried to run the same plays we had over and over, even though UTEP was stacking the line and ended up punting the ball back....even though our defense was gettting very tired and showing no signs of being able to stop them.

Poor tackling is a cop out, we sprung just about as many plays as they did, because someone misses a tackle 12 yards down the field kinda pales in importance as to why he was 12 yards down the field to begin with....both sides had the same problems....

And of course we have the infamous temper tantrum that was totally silly, Sledge was going down right at 1 second......time expired....get over it...if you want to get mad at someone, don't blame the refs, blame Sledge for not taking a knee 3 seconds sooner.....

Then you are down by 14 and kicking off from mid field thanks to Bennett, anyone care to think their might be an onside kick? apparently not Bennett, just like he didn't see the fake punt coming......Just like he didn't see anytime the 3 QB was in the shotgun he was gonna run the QB draw...Nope we still were lined up in pass coverage like they had just inserted the second coming of Dan Marino

Stallion I would say its a mixture of the two this time. Special teams - let's see two fake punts for first down, a missed field goal, a bad snap, a lost onside kick (due in part to Bennett's silly screaming match with the ref). A little bit of coaching might have at least prevented those two fake punts. If any one of those plays had gone the other way, we win the game. Did Sam's throw a single completion? I don't think so. Why did we have everyone chasing receivers when he came in? After two plays we should have known he was going to run a draw or run wide and put a shadow on him. Yes, Sam's and Jackson were players that could not have gotten into SMU and certainly were difference makers.
