Doak gives up the Ghost

Time for me to tee off with Bobby Lane on the back nine of the galaxy. I'll check in on you struggling earthlings from time to time after the alma mater makes another attempt to field a winning team for the red and blue.

Then you're obviously a Longhorn masquerading as a Mustang fan. If you were a true Mustang, you'd have said Kyle Rote.

Bobby & I were buddies

Postby Doak's Ghost » Sun Sep 30, 2007 6:49 pm

Guess you youngsters don't know me very well. Bobby Layne and I were buddies at highland Park and nearly went to college together after the war. Kyle Rote & Pat Knight were high school buds in San Antonio. They were yonger than us. We had served during the war and they came to college straight out of high school. Kyle is good people and we invite him to tee off with us from time to time. Good luck with the rebuilding program. I'll check on you sometime next year.
