Good Chance for a Mustangs Victory at Ford next Saturday

Postby BrianTinBigD » Sun Sep 30, 2007 5:12 pm

My 4th Grade Allen Mustangs will be playing at 12:30 at Ford. So if you are looking for something to do and want to cheer on the Mustangs we will be playing the 2nd place Chargers. We are 5-0 for the season and have scored 188 points and given up 40. Not bad for the same group of boys who only beat one team last season.

Pop Warner or other youth league?

It is just local Youth Football that we play. Though I stole my offense from Pop Warner. My team is mainly all about the speed and fundamentals like blocking and tackling. We run the single wing and always have a shotgun snap but we do throw the ball from time to time. We try and wear teams down by making the game a track meet as much as possible.

We will not be on the BLVD but will be getting a pre-game meal at Le Madeline. I am doing everything in my power to make SMU fans out of the boys. We have a regular referee that swears that our starting tailback will be playing football for someone on Saturdays. He is a real fluid runner that is deceptively fast. Though his parents are OU cult members.

I will not be throwing my hat into the coaching search since there is little need for a Single Wing/8-3 Gap Defense coach. However, I am willing to donate my time to be a volunteer coach strictly in charge of clock management.

You should try to schedule SMU for homecoming.

Just an update from the Mustangs vs Chargers at Ford this Saturday. The Mighty Mustangs scored on the first play from scrimmage and never looked back. The score was 20-0 at the end of Q1, 26-0 at halftime, and 32-0 at the end. We ran the ball effectively and shut down the opponents offense with the defense giving up only 1 first down on the 1st series of the game.

BrianT is the coach. He has forgotten more about football than you will ever know.

I'd have my 10 year old play for him.
Our PW Pee Wee coach is a buffoon.
Likes to talk...can't back it up.
Thinks that kids who are 8,9,10,11 can run spread offense with his son throwing every down. Has them convinced at the beginning of every season that they can go to the Florida tourney.

The Arlington Thunder came over and schooled the older kids.
I told the Pee Wee coach he should rethink what it takes to play up like that, or he should start remembering that they are 8,9,10,11 years old, and maybe, just maybe, they SHOULDN'T be the football gods he insists that they are.

But that's just me. My kid is smart...he told me the coach was a moron. He was right.

Is a girl named Ari a Cheerleader for the 4th Grade Allen Mustangs-I do believe I know Mom. In my drunken state on Saturday Nite I distinctly remember being told that this Mom's daughter was cheering for an undefeated team of Allen 4th Graders at Ford last Saturday.

Do you know this girl's mom in the biblical sense and do you need a phone number or should I tell her at the next game that Stallion really didn't me it when he said he would "Call you later this week."
