On court 2 the Kings took on the heavily favored Spurs. Spurs' 7-0 junior Kyle Rowley (Lake Forest Academy) showed up looking trimmed down and in great shape after missing week 2, and he went to work early dominating the paint. Though he saw limited playing time, Rowley was extremely impressive and put up a nice stat line of 14 points, 10 rebound, and 4 blocks. He was running the floor very well and showed much improved footwork. Rowley very well could be coming for the #1 spot in the class of 09 rankings. Rowley's dominance was not quite enough, as Jimmy Martin, a junior guard from Notre Dame sank three last second free-throws to give the Kings a 79-78 win.

And look at who is on this kids list of interest. Pretty amazing stuff to be getting any interest here I think.

Doherty is a great recruiter and who knows if we'll land this guy or not. Until John Thompson, Sr. signed Patrick Ewing, Georgetown was just an after thought of college basketball. That kind of recruit, can catapult a program into prominence.

We need to talk to the former great SMU WR Josh Lerner - who coaches football at Lake Forest - to convince this kid to be a Mustang.
We have another Lake Forest kid currently on the the football team - don't know his name. Maybe he needs to stop by when he is home for the holidays and catch a game - obviously dressed in Mustang hats and shirts.

Chicago, St. Louis, Kansas City are metropolitan areas that Dallas gets the most students from and we have some of our largest alumni bases. I think Bennett made a BIG mistake not recruiting these areas. Doh does not appear to be as limited in his thinking or recruiting. Hopefully our next football coach will make more of an effort in these areas.

The #1 recruit for 09 is only a 3 star?? Is Stallion's head spinning?
I thought all 3 star prospects were "a dime a dozen."
GO MUSTANGS!
FIGHT ON!

He's young, he still has time to grow a few stars.
