How's his ankle? Is he going to play this week?

Any talk of putting the redshirt back on? Personally, I want to see him play - he's big and strong and fast. But if he's only 50 percent the rest of the year, depending on how bad the ankle sprain is, we should shelve him for the season and try to get four full seasons out of him, right?

Can he put the redshirt back on? I thought once ou stepped out onto the field that was it, you could no longer redshirt that season. What's rule on that?

My understanding is that you have to have a certain number of plays (which I don't think he's reached) or at least be on the field during a certain number of quarters. Don't think he's reached that, either. I'll see if I can research the specifics.

For example, Arkansas RB Cedric Cobbs has scored at least on touchdown in FIVE straight season openers.

I don't pretend to understand the rule completely, but as I recall in Ramon Flanigan's case it had to do with the amount of time he spent on the field, and the season ending injury against Arkansas. He received a medical redshirt year.
