We Need to Hire a "Dallas Guy"
..somebody from the area...somebody who knows people around here, understands the Dallas / SMU vibe..a guy who has recruited and coached in this state / area...but in the end, somebody who is from here, wants to be here and wants to stay / coach here.....I will get back to you on just exactly who that is....long live _______ _______!

We need someone who knows football, can handle the media, and can recruit! If his interview is the first time he sets foot on Texas soil, but can get the job done who cares about ties to Texas? Matt Doherty is recruiting nationally because he can thanks to his national reputation. Can he coach? I think so!

hindsight being 20/20, I would love to have seen how Charlie Waters would have done as SMU's head coach.
Just wish there were more former Dallas Cowboy and/or SMU "stars" out there in the coaching ranks. I think it was West Virginia I was watching recently where several of their guys were majoring in "athletic coaching". Would love to see SMU graduates populating the ranks of Texas H.S. football coaches

I'd always wondered what prevented schools from offering degree programs like that. I guess nothing.
