There Still is HOPE...

Postby J.T.supporta » Thu Oct 18, 2007 10:40 pm

Sure we arent in a BCS conference and sure we are/will be the ONLY school to ever get the "DEATH PENALTY", there still is HOPE I say.

If Rutgers can have a winless season and come out of nowhere and be a top 25 team, SMU can do it too...time is only the key factor. and im sick of waiting for it...but im not giving up, there still is HOPE

Darth has never commented nor will Darth with a helicopter parent (relative). JT preach on brotha! Even though I believe that the current regime gives Captain E. J. Smith and Hazlewood a good name, and despite what "the model Stallion" says (although he makes good points), Darth stills says, "if TCUseless can do it, Rutgers can do it, Navy can do it, and even Rice last year can do it... WE CAN DO IT!

Caveat: I say wait to Pony Up, let's see who Steve-O hires. If it is someone who had D-I head coach experience, then by all means.......

PONY UP!!!

Yes, there still is good ol' Bob! Hey...he had a great relationship with SMU. Maybe someone can use this in the next marketing campaign. ;)

Prediction: The FUTURE of SMU FOOTBALL will be a POSITIVE experience for us. So don't give up.........Sure, I've had a drink or two but I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night......So stay positive about the Future ! I'm telling you, our negative issues are about over....Sounds good anyway huh ?

Actually, this is quite true. One, it can't get worse, but, more importantly, we are about to see a more aggressive response to our situation in FB. Any thoughts of incremental improvements, upgrades, rebuilding and new commitments will be dismissed as more of the same or not likely to make a difference in our lifetime.

The alternative is to recapture the Football Tradition at one of the great FB universities (in a great city, with a great campus, receiving a quality degree, etc.), S-M-U! Orsini is about to create a dramatic response to what he inherited and what we have lived through.

No more Mr. Nice Guy!

The FUTURE OF SMU FOOTBALL is bright! Stay tuned!

By all means, you're right. This whole hope/optimism thing isn't for everyone. You should move on and let PonyFans support the team.

SMUFan is right. The alternative is ("I am mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!)? Now that is a brillant response. Unless you can write the checks, being the cynic takes no skills.

Per the rules established by Darth, he now owes the Mustang Club a $1 for using the word "model".

Ooops, I just used the word "model" so now I owe a $1.

OMG I used it again, so now I owe $2.

Steve O, the check is in the mail.
Just send 'da money.
