"Next on the schedule was our first team practice! We are now allowed to have a two-hour workout with the whole team once a week. We went hard for the two hours. I was very impressed with the "fusion of our young talent with the discipline of our older guys as we start developing a new breed of Mustang Basketball!" Papa Dia even practiced. Papa wanted to try to play before we committed to back surgery. The medical staff determined that it would be OK to give it a try. Papa at 70% is still pretty darn good!! We will monitor his situation closely. It was a lot of fun to have the 2007-08 Mustangs on the practice floor! I think we are in for some exciting times in Moody!!!"

Looks like the suspicions of Dia's bad back are confirmed. There has been talk about back surgery and shutting him down for the season. Lets hope that’s not the case or that if it is, he recovers fully.

That would be a shame. We seem to have very bad luck with injuries.

Latest update from Doh: "Good news - Papa Dia had a great visit with our doctors yesterday and will not need back surgery! He received clearance to start practice without any restrictions!"
