Wished him good luck for the season. Had a big smile. Looking forward to seeing him on the floor Nov. 10.

No. I thought you were going to PM it to me.

Just everything that I have read about him and the fact he played for his dad, and saw a film on him -- I swear I cannot find the darn thing on him - I just came away impressed with the entire package. I want the guy to do well because he just looks like the kind of point guard this program hasn't had since...maybe Butch Moore?

I have no way of knowing if he'll succeed, but I'm ready to see him.

Think Mike Walker. Think Mike Walker. Think Mike Walker.

I would be very excited if he is even close to Butch Moore. Butch was awesome and the key to the great NCAA playoff teams of the mid-eighties.

That's not a picture of Patton, that's the next door neighbor in American Beauty. Hope that helps?

All I want to see Walker do is just run the offense and make sure the spacing is pretty decent. He doesn't have to score. That can come in a couple of years.

I expect the inexperienced mistakes, but he'll have enough of a cushion with the soft schedule to get away with them and get better with time.

Interested to see the guys get it started on Nov. 10.

BTW, I talked with someone on Saturday after the Tulane game when they were giving out schedules. They said they would probably do the same thing where you could use the football tickets from Rice to get into the basketball game that night.

Or you could help the program and actually buy a ticket...
