Tulsa should be another 40 point game for both teams, barring turnovers. We're ranked 113 in team defense, Tulsa is 112 giving up 485 ypg. So, both teams ought to be able to score. Houston is another story. They are ranked 47 in team defense at 353 ypg. So that game has blow-out written all over it.

Ironic isn't it
SMU has a high scoring offense (at last) with good QB stats just at the time we set a low for poor defense. We'll be road kill worse than ever.

UH's 49-10 win at UAB was the biggest blowout of the year. Excluding that game, UH has run the ball an average of 43 times per game and passed 37. During the UAB game, UH ran 59 times and passed 34 times.
To give you a sense of the domination, UH had 33 first downs to 12 for UAB.
The point is that this isn't John Jenkins' Cougar team. Art Briles puts on the brakes when the team has victory in hand, which isn't too often. At times, I argue that the brakes are applied a bit too soon.
Beat Tulsa!

How, in God's name, can the powers-that-be at SMU tolerate this? Is there any other school in the NCAA or NAIA with a worse record than the Mustangs on the road during the same time period that PB has been on The Hilltop?Stallion wrote:you forgot to mention that SMU is 4-28 under Bennett on the Road and both these games are roadtrips, Exciting!!!!

Yes, especially since the word is spelled 'grammar' and not 'grammer'.jtstang wrote:perunapower wrote:Stallion wrote:you forgot to mention that SMU is 4-28 under Bennett on the Road and both these games are roadtrips, Exciting!!!!
It's great how you Randomly capitalize words and throw out the Book on punctuation Usage.
More evidence that we need a grammer and spelling board.
