Fire the admin is just a figure of speech, but that is where it starts. If we do not make changes in how we operate our athletic programs, in regards to admission, we will be posting this BS for years to come. Give PB complete control of the football program and the money to run it. PB has the knowledge of the game, regulations, and he can be trusted to do the right thing. Stop using the HC as a scapegoat for instutional failure. I can plenty more regarding the board of regents, some of you and the entire Dallas community, who do not even know we exist. You think this is because of PB? This is an institutional program!
I really don't think you are following me. I agree with you that the admissions changes must be made, and I don't blame Bennett for them. But if you changed them all tomorrow he still could not get the players to turn this team around because of his stigma as the coach of a loser, and therefore must go for the program to come back. Now disagree with me if you want to, but don't misinterpret what I am saying. This is not Phil Bennett's fault completely, but he still must go.
It is the institution that has the stigma, not PB. The stigma was stamped on SMU when PB was a grad assist somewhere. Loosing at SMU is an institutional issues that is accepted, because they do not care. I will not diagree, I will just act like a man and tell the truth, because I pay my own bills and have nothing to loose. Whose shoes a you shinning, shoe shine boy?

Isn't "loosing" a Harry Hines issue?

When Bennett was a grad assist. SMU was gearing up for its run with the Pony Express. While SMU may currently have a stigma of losing, it is more likely that recruits and the media will take notice of us if we fire a coach who also has the stigma of losing and hire someone who doesn't, thus making it more likely that we will attract the athletes that will help us get rid of the stigma...not to be confused with smegma.

I thought you were done with all the firing talk.
I take it you disagree with me. Until now, I have kept our discourse civil, but now that you have taken to bad-mouthing me in ebonics, I must call you out as the illiterate fu_k you are. If you can afford to pay your own bills using that indecipherable drivel, then you should kiss the floor of the shanty you live in every time you come home because you deserve it.
And Bennett will be fired, whether you like it or not, so get used to it jack@ss.

Don't mention the Pony Express. We know how that happened. Let's talk real football, fair football. We can pay players now and win the BCS, we have enough money, but I am talking about fair football. Nobody has taken notice in 20 years of firings. Why do you people insist on putting your foot in your mouth about this issue?

If we want to talk fair football then we need to stop discussing Div 1 college football. I think Div. III is probably free of cheating for the most part.

JStang, it takes two for an intelligent conversation and right now you don't have a dance partner. Darth says, never and I mean never argue with a helicopter relative.

Fire PB, so you can have something to do for the next 5 football seasons, because obviously you do not understand college football. [deleted], that was stupid to say, of course you do not, been at SMU too long!! Darth, we know by now you think I am a relative, stop posting that same helicpoter [deleted], it is old. If you knew who I really was your [deleted] would be about the size of a peanut.
