SMU fans in a luxury box?

Postby SMUFan » Sat Oct 27, 2007 3:42 pm

First of all, I didn't think that dump had luxury boxes.

But if you look in that "building" (looks like a parking garage) at the end of the field where Morstead just drilled his 50-yarder .... there's some guy in one of the open areas on the top level wearing a tie who jumped up and threw his arms straight up when Morstead's kick (GREAT KICK) went through the uprights.

Surely that's not where they stick SMU officials (Steve-O, etc.), is it?

Why do schools build those stupid endzone facilities-I'd rather have the open space at Ford. If you are rich enough to sit in a luxury box you damn sure don't want to be in the endzone.

Morstead hit the second field goal INTO the "suite" I was talking about .... and the guy in the tie picked up the ball.

According to the radio crew, that "guy in the tie" has a name: Steve Orsini.

That's awesome - glad to see Steve-O cheering like that.

Is he related to our Steve Orsini?

And I can't believe they stick the visiting AD in a place like that. What if there's rain? Snow? Sure, he'll stay dry, but open air? Usually ADs suck up to each other and give nice accomodations.

Then again, if they show the "press box" you can rest assured the digs inside there aren't much better. I know Graham is supposed to be a great recruiter, but it's hard to believe anyone wants to play in that dump or live in that craphole town.
