How many times has he watched this team fail to get one critical yard, and he still opts for that over a sure field goal.
It could have still worked against him. Even if he had taken the points, Tulsa could have still taken it down the field after the kickoff and scored. Then everyone would have complained that he should have gone for it on the 4th and 1. Either way, it still would have been a no win situation for him.
