When SMU was 4th and one on the one and up by two, I turned to my friend and bet him $20 that SMU would lose. I just won $20!!!!

I feel bad for the kids. They deserved this one. What in the f was this coaching staff thinking. Short passes at the goal line work sometimes, but you have to try them.

That wouldn't have changed anything.

OUR PLAYERS WERE GOOD ENOUGH TO WIN THIS GAME. SMU OWES IT TO THE ATHLETES TO PROVIDE BETTER LEADERSHIP.
Exactly.

Those guys played great today! Poor clock management and poor choices!

What about the almuni and few remaining fans of SMU football....aren't they owed something as well?

Think this will hurt our standings in the BCS? We may gain a few "style" points.

What would it have changed? We would have been up by 5, had to kickoff, Tulsa would have probably gotten better field position, and get 6 for the TD and 2 for the conversion. We would have been down by 3. We got no where near field goal range.

Yes it would have. It would have meant we only needed a field goal at the end. True, we still had to get there, but with Morestead already kicking 2 from 50+ it could have made a big difference. Plus, before Tulsa scored it would have forced a TD from them. That was a terrible call, especially when your offense is consistently stopped on short yardage.

You get that TD and it's a whole different ball game. There are thousands of other mistakes you could blame that on. That was a gutsy call and it didn't pan out. End of story. Would I have liked to see something more imaginative run when we were deep in their zone, sure. I liked the call to go for it on 4th and 1.

Irony
can't get kids with athletic talent into school due to grades and credits, but they pay coaches millions that are dumber than a 5th grader
hope they have figured out where to get the buyout money. But I don't have faith they are smart enough or bold enough to pay it
